    Mohammad Ali was one of the world's best fighters, a man who was celebrated for his skill and fight style. Born Cassius Clay originally, he changed his name to Mohammad Ali and became an Olympic Gold medalist in 1960.  His biggest fights were when he reclaimed the heavyweight championship against Joe Frazier and George Foreman.

 In 1984, Mohammad was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. 

 

He first learned to box from a police officer, Joe Martin who trained young boxers at a local gym.

 

His Olympic gold medal was in 1960, in Rome Italy . Mohammad was 6'3 and he became known for his lightning speed and fancy footwork. He became known as the boxer who could float like a butterfly and sting like a bee.
