A FEW WORDS: Kristoffer Kristofferson was an American country singer, songwriter and actor. Among his songwriting credits are "Me and Bobby McGee", "For the Good Times", "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down", and "Help Me Make It Through the Night" dies at the age of 88.

ABOUT

I’ll always remember Kristofferson primarily as a musician, especially for his incredible songwriting talent, like in “Me and Bobby McGee.” He had a natural country music voice. However, he also became one of the few musicians who successfully transitioned into acting, achieving fame with 1976’s “A Star Is Born” alongside Barbra Streisand. It’s rare to see musicians reach the level of acting success Kristofferson did. The only other notable ones that come to mind are Mark Wahlberg, Will Smith, Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, and Cher. Even before his breakout role in “A Star Is Born,” Kristofferson shone as Billy the Kid in Sam Peckinpah’s western “Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid,” and as David, Ellen Burstyn’s love interest, in Martin Scorsese’s “Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore.”
